The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on Thursday will meet Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and Secretary of State at the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Peter Stenlund, the Finnish Foreign Ministry’s roving Ambassador for the South Caucasus Mr Christer Michelsson told APA, adding that the meeting due to take place in Helsinki will focus on the discussion of the settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“As you know, Finland is an OSCE Minsk Group member. We have always followed the settlement process of this conflict and been interested to help achieve peace. We are concerned by the latest escalation around the conflict. Therefore, Finnish officials will exchange ideas with the co-chairs on how to get to a peaceful resolution to the conflict and discuss possible steps for the process to develop in a more efficient way,” he said.

Along with the Ukrainian problem, Finland is also concerned by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, said K. Mikellson, adding that he will pay a visit to the region after two weeks.
