Ali Hasanov: In Azerbaijan, there are some NGOs that operate on order
“We don’t classify NGOs based on them being pro-western or pro-eastern. In Azerbaijan, there are registered and unregistered, transparent and non-transparent NGOs. There are also some NGOs abiding by the law on NGOs in their activity, while others operate on orders. We classify them on this scale, and each of them is treated in this accordance,” Ali Hasanov, Head of Political and Public Affairs Department at the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, told reporters on Thursday.

According to Ali Hasanov, the Azerbaijani government wants every organization in the country to be transparent in their activities and respect the law.

The department head also commented on the pardon process, saying that it will be continuous.

“Pardon is a continuous process and the Pardon Commission is an organization that operates on a continuous basis. The pardon process will continue onward,” the PA official added.
