“Through sports, Azerbaijan made an additional contribution to its policy, because our policy in relation to the Muslim world is that there be unity and solidarity and conflicts between Muslim countries come to an end,” said President Aliyev.
The Azerbaijani president called on the Muslim world to demonstrate unity.
“That’s the only way our peoples could lead a comfortable and prosperous life in the future. So, I believe the policy we’re pursuing and the contribution we made by holding the Games will lead the Muslim world to unity,” he added.
