Daughters of detained Iranian opposition leader worried about father`s situation
Daughters of Iran`s opposition leader Mi-Hossein Mousavi, who is in detention, have said that there is no supervision over prison guards, the reformist Kalame website wrote.
Daughters of Mousavi have recently met with former president of Iran, Mohammad Khatami.

During the meeting, they expressed concern that their father has been remained out of sight.

The report, which was published on the website today, said the daughters have not been in contact with their father for a while.

They said during their meeting with their father on the occasion of the New Year, the security atmosphere was so tough that they could not really get close to their father.

Former reformist president Mohammad Khatami said during the meeting that he hoped the detention would end after the upcoming presidential election.

After the presidential elections in May 2009, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s rivals Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi claimed large irregularities in the results. Millions of Iranians also protested against the results.

According to official results, Mousavi gathered 13 million votes against Ahmadinejad`s 24.5 milion votes.

Mousavi and Karroubi were under house arrest for several months after the elections.
