As of January 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,593,000, up 115,900 persons or 1.2% from 2014.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 111 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,009 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages.
