The explosion occurred near a police checkpoint at the entrance of the Suruç district of the southeastern Turkish province of Şanlıurfa.
"Explosion occured in a garbage bin near the police checkpoint. Three people, including a policeman, have been injured lightly," Şanlıurfa Gov. İzzettin Küçük told journalists.
"Many ambulances have been dispatched to the area,” DHA reported.
