Emphasizing the crucial importance of government-opposition dialogue, some political analysts appreciated the meeting as a positive step.
After the meeting, Ali Hasanov told to press that, the sides had reached an agreement on regular meetings their format and topics to be discussed.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party Serdar Jalaloglu stressed the importance of such meetings saying that “It shows the beginning of the democratic process in the country”.
Mirmahmud Miralioglu, Chairman of Classic Popular Front Party considers meeting satisfactory. He emphasized, they achieved very important results. He said, all problematic issues for them discussed at the meeting.
Chairman of People’s Party Penah Huseyn also underlined the importance of the dialogue between the government and opposition.
Other issues, such as peaceful solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, different political parties’ work and some new election-based reforms were on the agenda of the meeting as well. “As a whole, it was a positive event” – the opposition leader stressed.
