Azerbaijan, Poland discuss cooperation within Trans-Caspian Transport Route

Azerbaijan, Poland discuss cooperation within Trans-Caspian Transport Route

Azerbaijan and Poland have discussed cooperation within Trans-Caspian Transport Route as chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov met with CEO of Poland's state-owned railway company PKP Krzysztof Mamiński in Warsaw.

Gurbanov highlighted reforms in Azerbaijan`s railways system and the government`s measures to increase the country`s transit potential. He emphasized that Trans-Caspian Transport Route will increase cargo transportation from China to Turkey and Europe and vice versa.

The two discussed prospects for development of relations and joint efforts in addressing logistics problems between the railways of Azerbaijan and Poland.

They also supported the idea of holding a meeting of CEOs of railways of Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia, Poland and Ukraine in Baku on June 18-19.
