Azerbaijani minister, Czech ambassador discuss holding business-forum in Baku
Baku will host the Azerbaijani-Czech business forum in March.

The issue of holding a business forum was discussed at a meeting of Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic Vitezslav Pivonka, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and Industry said.

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the business forum.

Mustafayev said that the relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic are successfully developed and trade relations are expanded.

“Except Armenia, Azerbaijan successfully cooperates with other countries in the region,” the minister said.

The ambassador said at the meeting that the two countries have great potential for the development of mutual relations, stressing that the Czech Republic is interested in expanding the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the non-oil sector.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, the trade turnover with the Czech Republic amounted to $637.97 million as of 2014. Around $45.9 million accounted for import from the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan, while $
