TAP allocates 400,000 euros for projects in Lecce
TAP Italy officially launched the second edition of TAP Start, the small grants program for non-profit organizations, TAP AG said on its website.
Following the success of the first edition of TAP Start - when seven projects (all in progress) received grants - the 2017 edition features new opportunities:

The total budget allocated for the program is 400,000 euro, twice the amount committed in 2016. A maximum of 50,000 euro will be allocated for each selected project.

Proposals in the field of sports can also be submitted; a new sector in addition to the 2016 topics: social, culture, environment, TAP AG said.

All non-profit associations in the Province of Lecce can participate. However, in the final ranking, more points will be given to associations from the Melendugno municipality or to projects implemented in Melendugno.

TAP said it will particularly recognize the value of project proposals submitted in partnership between different parties (up to 4 partners per project can be admitted).

The call for projects is open between 1 June and 31 August 2017. TAP said all the relevant information and the submission documentation are available at the dedicated website: www.tapstart.it. Following this stage, TAP and a panel of independent experts in the different sectors of the program will evaluate and shortlist the winning projects.

With this call, TAP supports the best ideas coming from organizations which are well rooted in the local context. Using a bottom-up approach, TAP aims to contribute in a tangible way to the social and economic growth of the area.

TAP said it wishes to have an open and productive dialogue with Lecce communities around the areas where the projects are being realized. The TAPStart2 initiative is part of TAP’s wider Social and Environmental (SEI) program aimed to boost Salento’s development and business potential.
