Russia-South Ossetia state border agreement to dispel Georgia
An agreement on state border between Russia and South Ossetia should dispel Georgia
"During the visit [of Sanakoev], a new step is planned in the formation of legal framework of bilateral relations. An Agreement on State Border will be signed," the foreign ministry said. "Such a document is of cornerstone importance in the inter-state relations between neighboring countries," the ministry noted.

"We hope that this will dispel insinuations disseminated by the Georgian side that an alleged `annexation`, `merger`, `accession of South Ossetia [to Russia]` is being prepared," the foreign ministry stressed.

"The aim of such speculations is to discredit Russian policy in the South Caucasus and to distort the essence of its cooperation with young republics," the ministry said
