At the beginning of the program Dr. Sadigh spoke about the tortures committed against Khojaly residents as well as his interviewee. He said, `Durdane was only 20 years of age when she was injured and captured while trying to escape the most atrocious massacre in recent Azerbaijani history, the Khojaly massacre, in 1992. She has spent many years developing the courage and healing necessary to share her story.

Khojaly genocide is not only genocide against the Azerbaijani people, but is one of bloody crimes against humanity. As a result of the massacre 613 civilians were killed, 8 families were exterminated, 25 children lost both parents and 130 children lost one parent.In the night of the tragedy 1,275 people from among the civilian population were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 remains unknown, among whom were also communications workers.
