Three of the contracted servicemen, who were injured when a bus—which is registered at the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia—overturned Saturday in Gegharkunik Province, will be transported to capital city Yerevan, Yervand Hovhannisyan, head of the Vardenis town military hospital told reporters.
At present, these soldiers are undergoing medical examination at the hospital, and any information on their conditions is still preliminary.

But Artsrun Hovhannisyan, spokesperson of the minister of defense, wrote on his Facebook page that seven of the injured are in severe condition, whereas the rest are in moderate condition.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the accident took place at around 8:30am, on the Vardenis-Shorzha motorway.

The bus went off road and slid about six meters into the nearby little gorge.

Fourteen passengers suffered injuries and were rushed to Vardenis Military Hospital.

Two of them, however, did not wish to be hospitalized.
