French Minister Woos Tech Giants to Fight Online Extremism Together
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve urged Google, Facebook and Twitter to work directly with French authorities during investigations in a bid to speed up the process of removing extremist propaganda.
Cazeneuve called improving "coordination with respect to combating propaganda and the recruitment of terrorists on the Internet, by collectively exerting our influence on the major Internet providers" a top priority during his speech at the Summit on Countering Violent Extremism, held at the White House.

he French interior minister is on a three-day visit to the United States. While in San Francisco, he met with Google, Facebook and Twitter executives.
