Armenian National Congress urges citizens to go on rally
A faction of the Armenian National Congress called on Armenian citizens to gather in the main square of Yerevan on March 1.
While announcing the rally, the faction leader Levon Zurabyan said that as Speaker of the Parliament Galust Sahakyan refused to take actions to discuss the liability of the "authors of anti-constitutional attacks" on the "Prosperous Armenia" party and Gagik Tsarukyan, the Armenian National Congress urges citizens to gather in the square on March 1.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan as a politician was bad for the country.

President Sargsyan made this statement at a meeting of the council of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia on February 12.

He also withdrew Tsarukyan’s membership in the Security Council and promised that the process would begin in connection with his periodic absence at the parliamentary meetings.

The next day Tsarukyan made a statement that the party will begin the power change process,
but after a meeting with President Sargsyan on February 17, Tsarukyan canceled a national rally scheduled February 20.
