Azerbaijani First Lady elected as deputy chairperson of ruling party
Azerbaijani First Lady, president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva has been elected as deputy chairperson of the New Azerbaijan Party, party member Aydin Mirzazade told Trend today.

This decision has been made at the fifth congress of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party today.

Executive secretary of the ruling party, MP Ali Ahmadov, president of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Akif Alizade, Deputy Prime Minister, head of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov were elected as deputy chairmen of the party.

It was previously reported that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has been unanimously re-elected as party chairman.
