Lotfi Zadeh made great contribution to development of science in US - Ambassador Cekuta

Prominent scientist Lotfi Zadeh made a great contribution to the development of science in the United States, Robert Cekuta, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said on Friday, AzVision.az reports.

He said that sometimes changes in mathematics seem to be abstract, however, this progress has led to many achievements in our modern life.

“Azerbaijani are rightly proud of this prominent person. He was born in Baku, then moved to Tehran, and from there to the US. He made a great contribution to the development of science in the US,” the ambassador added.

Lotfi Zadeh passed away on September 6, 2017 aged 97 years. The body of the world-famous scientist was brought to Azerbaijan from the US tonight.
