Turkish Government resolutely condemns illegal visit to occupied Karabakh - Embassy
Turkey's Embassy in Azerbaijan commented on Turkish citizens' illegal visit to Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenia.
A group of Turkish citizens visited the Azerbaijan's occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region with their own initiatives and without informing the Turkish authorities, the press service of the Embassy told AzVision.az.

"Turkish Government resolutely condemns the illegal visit. This visit has no connection with Turkey's state policy and its official position."

On 28 September, the Investigative Department on Grave Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case under article 318.2 (illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan) against a group Turkish citizens—Ufuk Uras, Ali Bayramoglu, Said Cekinoglu, and Erol Katircioglu—who, on preliminary arrangement with persons in Armenia and in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, deliberately violated Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized borders by traveling from Armenia to Khankandi and other occupied residential areas on September 22, the Prosecutor General’s Office told.

An international arrest warrant has been issued for the aforementioned Turkish citizens, and the Turkish law enforcement authorities have been appealed to arrest them.
