Czech banks invested $1.5 B in Azerbaijan for 10 years

“Issues of further development of economic cooperation of the two countries, which has been successfully developing in recent years will be discussed during the talks of the Czech minister with the Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and other members of the government of the country,” said the message.

On the results of 2014, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries reached 1.5 billion euros, which is 23 percent more than in 2013. Czech Republic imports mainly Azerbaijani oil, while industrial equipment and consumer goods are supplied to Azerbaijan from this country. Czech banks have provided the country with loans worth $1.5 billion over the past decade.

Azerbaijani-Czech business forum, which will be attended by 32 Czech companies and banks will be organized within the framework of the official visit. The event will be organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), established by the ministry of economy and industry of Azerbaijan. From the Czech side, the organizer of the business forum will be the Chamber for Commercial Relations with the CIS countries.
