Tearful mother, Lalazar Hasanova talked about her daughter’s death in her interview to AzVision.az:
-My beautiful daughter used to love springtime when trees and flowers start blooming. She cheered up as if she opened her eyes to the world again. She was in love with sun and flowers. She was fond of her life. She used to take photos with flowering trees. Herewith, she dreamed of such a bright, beautiful life. When Armenians started battles against Azerbaijanis on the contact line, they opened fires at our village. My son was serving in the Azerbaijani army at that time. I became concerned for our soldiers including my son. We could not stay at our homes because of gun noises. I told Turana to go her brother’s home as it was much safer than ours. She did not want to leave us alone.
On April 5, Turana came back to the village with her aunt. She did not think of any danger. She wished to go back to home and have dinner with me at the table.
But once I saw that the car stopped and Turana walked out of the car. She walked over to me and hugged me. I asked her: “Are not you afraid that Armenian bullet can kill you?” I will never forget her answer. She told me that she would never leave me alone until death do us part. Then she again hugged me so hard.
We set the table in two shakes. Looking at the empty spaces around the table, we fetched a sigh. Both of us feel each other’s deep down thoughts, but we were afraid to verbalize those feelings. She was worrying about her brother serving in the military and I was worrying about my son. My son was doing his military service in one of the hot spots on the contact line of troops – Gapanli village. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that in several minutes, Armenian bullet would claim our last-born child’s life, who was just sitting in front of me.
I told her that let’s clear the table because we felt down and couldn’t eat anything. Later, I left the house thoughtfully. All of a sudden, I heard terrible and ear-piercing sound of an explosion. Armenian shell fell down in front of our house. I turned back in a hurry and saw that Turana fell into place near the water crane. I and my husband ran immediately towards her. The shrapnel entered from her back and exited through her heart. Her heart came out of her chest. My world turned black. We took her on our lap, but our efforts were useless, she passed away.
Her loss tore our heart out. Our house was completely destroyed because of the Armenian artillery shelling. We took Turana’s lifeless body to the safer neighbor village. I myself enshrouded her body with a clean white sheet. For a mother it was equal to death.
I am a mother. I feel pain deep in my soul. My husband couldn’t bear Turana’s tragic death and after few months he died of heart attack. Armenian shell cutting down my daughter’s life fell down on her lovely blossomed tree. Now, that tree is deadwood.
Turana had nice dreams. She wished to graduate high school and get higher education. Armenian evils didn’t let realize her dreams.
April fights came to an end half an hour later she got shot by Armenians. The ceasefire was restored again... “
Turana’s brother promised that he would continue his military service until he took his sister’s revenge. “We will take revenge of my sister’s and our martyrs’ blood on Armenians”, he repeated his promises.
