Czech Republic is interested in long-term gas export from Azerbaijan
“We are interested in long-term gas export from Azerbaijan” - Minister of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic Jan Mládek told journalists in Baku.

“This will be possible only after launch of gas pipelines. Currently, Czech is exporting oil from Azerbaijan. This is very important for us. 31.5% of oil in 2014 was impored from Azerbaijan. Today, 2/3 of oil import by Czech Republic falls to share of Russia. We don’t want to depend on one oil source. We are interested in long-term gas export from Azerbaijan”, Mládek said.

The minister said that TANAP construction and export of Azerbaijani gas via this route is very important: “TANAP is real project in the circumstance that Nabucco and South Stream fail, Turkish Stream is long-term project”.
