Davutoglu said earlier that the emphasis on the 1915 events hinders the normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey`s predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out ”genocide” against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place.
Speaking further, Davutoglu also said that in 2015 Turkey will pay attention to the events connected with the murder of Turkish diplomats by militants of Armenian terrorist organization ASALA (Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia). Some 42 Turkish diplomats were killed as a result of terrorist activity of ASALA.
