Embassy: ICRC launches search for missing Azerbaijani businessman in Ukraine
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has launched a search for Azerbaijani businessman Maharram Aliyev who went missing in eastern Ukraine.

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine has appealed to the ICRC through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to find the businessman.

Asim Osmanov, the first secretary for consular affairs of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine, told APA that the official letter of response sent to the Embassy says that search operations have already been started.

The ICRC instructed relevant regional authorities regarding the search of Azerbaijani citizen, born in 1973 in Sadarak region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Maharram Majid Aliyev disappeared in Donetsk city in early January 2015.

The businessman’s relatives in Azerbaijan were recommended to keep in close contact with the international organizations’ representatives in the country and fill in necessary forms.
