Touching on the work done to diversify Azerbaijan’s economy, Lanzillotta said that Italy is interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan in the areas of infrastructure and agriculture.
Recalling the Milan Expo-2015 exhibition, the vice president of the Italian Senate said that Azerbaijani pavilion at the exhibition aroused great interest.
President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the successful development of relations with Italy.
Italy is the main trade partner of Azerbaijan, said the president, stressing the importance of oil exports in this context.
The head of state noted that the TAP project is of great importance for the development of long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy. President Aliyev added that the TAP project is being implemented on schedule, expressing hope that the work will be completed in time.
