One of the main subjects of today's meeting in Moscow of OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was settlement of conflicts.

The sides had an extensive discussion about possible solutions to conflicts in Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference after the meeting with the OSCE Secretary General, APA's Moscow correspondent reported.

“Firstly, we discussed the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. We support the OSCE mission in the settlement of this conflict,” Lavrov noted.

The minister said they wish the OSCE would work more actively in the settlement of the Transnistrian and Balkan conflicts.

He also said they discussed the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, noting that the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs are working actively with the conflicting sides.

Thomas Greminger said one of the main subjects of the meeting was the settlement of existing conflicts in the OSCE area.

OSCE considers efforts for the settlement of the long-term conflicts should be strengthened. That is why it is important to cooperate with Russia," he said.
