The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) event, an annual meeting of investors and people starting new businesses, is set to run from 28 November to 30 November, and this year is focused on the theme of “empowering women”.
The local government is apparently keen on presenting the city as a global capital and so far nearly 400 people have been removed from the streets as preparations for the visit continue.
“As per instructions of Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy to make the city beggar-free, we have shifted those in our area to rehabilitation centre,” Goshamahal Assistant Commissioner of Police, Narender Reddy, told The Indian Express.
Anyone found to be violating the ban will be liable for punishment, the exact details of which are unknown.
Ahead of the GES authorities have also repaired roads and re-painted the area.
Ms Trump is expected to speak at the event and India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is also expected to attend.
