Drawing from a police report filed in July of 1986, the paper reported that the young woman alleged Stallone coerced her into sexual activity with him and his bodyguard. She declined to pursue charges.
After the encounter Stallone threatened the girl with violence if she told anyone, according to the police report.
But Stallone's spokeswoman Michelle Bega told TMZ: "No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr Stallone. At no time was Mr Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter."
Laura Meltzer, a spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, said their records did not go back far enough to be able to confirm the authenticity of the police report cited by the Mail. She said the formatting of the report was consistent with the department’s procedures. The Mail said that a former head of the Las Vegas Police department’s sexual assault unit confirmed the document was genuine.
An attorney for Stallone did not return a call and an email from The Independent seeking comment.
The allegations against the Rocky star swell a tidal wave of sexual misconduct claims against other Hollywood luminaries, media figures and politicians.
Most recently, Senator Al Franken apologised after broadcaster Leeann Tweeden said he kissed and touched her without her consent during a 2006 tour with the then-comedian.
Ms Tweeden shared a photo of Mr Franken grasping her breasts as she slept.
