EU says negotiations with Azerbaijan are advancing well so far
The negotiations between Azerbaijan and the European Union are advancing well so far, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE at the European External Action Service (EEAS) Luc Devigne told.
“Obviously we still have lot to do. What is important is that and it is a goal of Azerbaijani government to diversify economy that we have meaningful economical provisions. We discuss political chapter, sectoral cooperation chapter and we have economic and trading provisions,” he said.

Devigne noted that there are a number of difficulties because Azerbaijan government is not member of WTO.

“We have a number of difficulties because Azerbaijan government is not member of WTO. That is one of the challenges. But will get in due time. We remain committed to these negotiations,” he added.
