"In case of increased threat from Afrin, Turkey won’t hesitate to intervene"
The threats from Syria’s Afrin district have been assessed at the meeting of the Security Council of Turkey, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
He made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani and Pakistani counterparts—Elmar Mammadyarov and Khawaja Muhammad Asif—in Baku on Nov. 30, AzVision.az reports.

Cavusoglu said that there are many threats to Turkey from Afrin.

“This is a threat to our soldiers who are there for the "Euphrates Shield" operation. They also cross the border and enter Turkey. Just as we didn’t hesitate to enter the region and clear it of ISIL during the "Euphrates Shield" operation, we won’t hesitate in the case of increase threat from Afrin. This can happen suddenly at night,” he noted.
