State Department considers upcoming "parliamentary elections" in Nagorno-Karabakh so-called
“The US does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence”

The U.S. Department of State commented on the so-called “parliamentary elections” to be held on May 3 by the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh regime in occupied Azerbaijani territories.

“The United States does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence, and the final legal status of Nagorno-Karabakh remains the subject of international mediation. These so-called “elections” do not prejudge the outcome of the ongoing peace negotiations. As a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the United States remains strongly committed to working with the sides to reach a lasting and peaceful settlement,” the State Department underlined.
