Azerbaijan approves action plan to combat religious extremism
The Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Security Service have signed an action plan to continue the struggle against religious extremism in 2018.
The action plan envisages combating religious extremism and holding seminars and meetings throughout the country in order to coordinate the work of bodies functioning in this area, the State committee for Work with Religious Organizations told reporters.

According to the action plan, discussions will be held on state-religion relations in Azerbaijan, threats in this area, causes of religious extremism, legal bases for combating religious extremism, multicultural environment and traditions of tolerance in the country, etc.
