Turkmenistan`s ambassador to Lithuania appointed
Murad Yazberdiyev was appointed Turkmenistan`s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of Lithuania, the Turkmen government said.
According to the statement, Yazberdiyev will also continue to carry out his diplomatic mission in Belarus.
The corresponding decree was signed by Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On June 17-18 Turkmenistan was visited by the Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius, who held talks with the Turkmen president.

A package of intergovernmental agreements was signed at the meeting.

Butkevicius also visited one of the largest industrial, transportation and resort centers of Turkmenistan - Turkmenbashi city.

The delegation visited the international seaport and the Turkmenbashi oil refining complex.
