The main objective of the Conference was to review and assess the work done by the UN member states on the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA), exchange the experience gained through regional and national strategies and plans on disaster risk reduction, discuss the adoption of a framework document on disaster risk reduction for 2015 and determination of its implementation mechanisms.
