ODIHR needs assessment mission to arrive in Baku on Feb. 21
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has decided to send a needs assessment mission for observation of the upcoming presidential election in Azerbaijan.

The needs assessment mission will be visiting Baku on February 21-22, ODIHR told AzVision.az.

The mission will consist of three experts from ODIHR and one from the OSCEParliamentary Assembly secretariat, and there will be no leader of the needs assessment mission, per se.

The needs assessment mission will gather information on which to base a recommendation of what, if any, format of election observation ODIHR will carry out for the election on 11 April.

The next presidential election in Azerbaijan is to be held on April 11, 2018.
