The order applied to 101 persons overall.
Under the order, 90 convicts were released from the unserved part of their prison sentence; 4 persons were released from community work; 7 others were freed from the penalty in the form of a fine.
Executive director of the Elections Monitoring and Democracy Studies Center (EMDS), Bashir Suleymanli, theologian Anar Gasimli, NIDA member Orkhan Eyyubzade and Ramil Valiyev who was detained during the anti-hijab ban protest outside the Education Ministry in 2012 are among the pardoned.
