United Nations: Azerbaijan to contribute to long-term global development until 2030
Azerbaijan has set two main objectives for after 2015: to contribute to global development until 2030, and to contribute to the provision of sustainable development in Azerbaijan, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Antonius Broek said on Friday during a speech at a conference on the results of national consultations of the Government of Azerbaijan and the UN on Sustainable Development Goals for after 2015.

According to Broek, over the last three months the UN in Azerbaijan, uniting with the government, national supporters of international development and other interested circles, carried out broad consultations and expressed opinions on the further global developments.

"Intensive consultations have brought together representatives of all sectors, think tanks, the private sector, as well as young people, women, children, the disabled and refugees," Broek said.

According to the resident UN Coordinator, global national priorities will be offered to politicians and the tendencies of development of the Azerbaijani people after 2015 will be considered at the conference
