Armenia, Georgia continue to heavily pollute Kur River
As a result of contamination in Armenia and Georgia, the content of the biogenic matters in the Kur River exceeded the norm by several times, said Azerbaijan
The ministry held monitoring in the second decade of March checking the level of pollution in trans-boundary rivers Kur and Araz and their trans-boundary tributaries.

In the second decade of March, the water flow in Kur, compared to the first decade of the same month, increased by 35 cubic meters per second and was 197 cubic meters per second.

At the Shikhli-2 site of the Agstafachay River the content of phenols exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by over four times.

Meanwhile, in the Agstafachay Reservoir too the phenols exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by four times.

At the same time, the phenol content exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by over 3.5 times at the Horadiz, Bahramtepe and Shahsevan-1 sites of the Araz river.
