Sergey Lebedev congratulated Ilham Aliyev on confident victory at the presidential election and wished success in his presidential activity for the benefit of the Azerbaijani people: “The result of the elections is reflection of Azerbaijani people’s respect to you. You have a great reputation among the Commonwealth of Independent States”.
Lebedev thanked the head of state for his contributions to the activity of CIS and expressed his confidence that during Ilham Aliyev’s presidency, Azerbaijan will continue to collaborate with the organization. On behalf of the delegation, Lebedev wished prosperity and successful development to the Azerbaijani people and our country.
Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for the congratulations and mentioned the importance of the work of the CIS observation mission which was included dozens of observers. Touching upon the mutual cooperation with the CIS, the head of state said that the Azerbaijani side considers it important to make efforts to further strengthen the organization.
