“We have to very properly assess the situation and build our strategy accordingly,” he said, adding that Georgia’s safety and welfare are directly related to the European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
“This year, we have to even further deepen relations both with the EU and NATO, and with each state of the Euro-Atlantic area. Meanwhile, our goal is to present at most Georgia’s geopolitical role and the advantages that make our country interesting for international community,” said Margvelashvili.
He went on to add that the increasing number of the states interested in the development and stability of Georgia, is one of the most serious international guarantees of the country’s security.
“Therefore, Georgia’s problems should always be on the agenda of international politics and common efforts are needed here,” the president added.
He said it is unacceptable that partisan or institutional interests weakened the Euro-Atlantic platform.
