Gabala named CIS cultural capital for 2013
Azerbaijan`s Gabala region has been declared the cultural capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the year 2013, said counselor of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation (IHCF) Alexander Luchaninov.

According to him, on June 29, Gabala will host a solemn opening ceremony for “Cultural Capital of the CIS in 2013” program, AzerTAc reports.

A large delegation of representatives of the CIS countries will attend the ceremony, including chairman of the Board of the Intergovernmental Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation, Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu.

The ceremony will feature a number of events, including round-tables, panel meetings and concerts of music bands from CIS countries.
