Turkey declares mourning over Gaza events

Turkey announced a three-day mourning for the events in the Gaza Strip, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said, Turkish media reported.

Mourning announced in commemoration of the victims of the clashes in the Gaza Strip and solidarity with the Palestinians, he said.

Bozdag stressed that recent events have shown that the United States is involved in the death of Palestinians. "As a result, the United States and Israel will be forced to leave Jerusalem," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Previously, President Donald Trump declared that the US recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and announced about decision to move the US embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump's decision caused riots among Palestinians and protests in several Arab countries. The movement of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is scheduled for May 14, the day of the 70th anniversary of creation of Israel.
