The Government of Azerbaijan has managed to release 210 children from Armenian captivity, AzVision.az reports. However, 61 children went missing and 27 are still in captivity.
Despite the announcement of a ceasefire in 1994, 14 Azerbaijani children were killed, 20 others were injured and 29 are in captivity in the wake of Armenian terrorism, the State Committee for Family, Woman and Children Affairs reports.
More than 300,000 children in Azerbaijan have become refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia. 60 of 3,024 people, listed as prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, are children. 20 of them are girls, 40 are boys.
