Mamuka Bakhtadze nominated as Georgian PM

The Parliamentary Majority of Georgia has named acting Finance Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze as a candidate for the Prime Minister’s post.

According to the information, Mamuka Bakhtadze has been nominated at the meeting of the parliamentary majority today. 

Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, announced his resignation on June 13.

Mamuka Bakhtadze has been the finance minister since November 13, 2017. He was director general of the Georgian Railway LLC, the national railway company of Georgia in 2013-2017.
