Excises on cigarettes were increased in Azerbaijan.
AzVision.az reports that according to the amendments to the Tax Code approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the excise rate will be 20 manat for every 1,000 cigars (currently - 10 manats), AZN 12 for each 1,000 cigarettes from tobacco and their substitutes (currently - 4 manats).
These amendments come into force on July 1, 2018.
