Kemaleddin Heydarov, the Minister of Emergency Situations has received the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta, the ministry told AzVision.az .
The minister congratulated Robert Cekuta on his appointment as an ambassador to the country and wished him success in his further diplomatic activity.
The ambassador was informed about the activities and the works the Ministry fulfilled in the sphere of emergency situations.
The parties stressed the importance of steps taken towards expanding mutual cooperation between the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan and the US on emergency management .
The officials also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interests.
