Petition reads, "Today, Turkey stands alone. Those who have previously condemned Turkey's steps are now making up excuses. As we approach a closely contested mid-term election, the Turkish embassy and lobbyists have strengthened their activities against the adoption of the genocide resolution. Their strategy is to block the voting process, because they know that Members of Congress, given the chance, will overwhelmingly support this resolution".
Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) considers that if the petition collects enough signatures, so-called genocide resolution can be adopted.
