The manager said the work will continue until mid-2022.
In particular, it is planned to install a support block of the new platform in the sea at the end of 2021, and to install the upper structures of the platform in 2Q2022.
Simpson noted that it is also planned to carry out work on connecting the facilities of the new platform with the "East Azeri" and "Central Azeri" platforms in 2022.
"According to current forecasts, the production of the first oil and gas from the block will begin in 2023, and the produced oil and gas will also be delivered to the Sangachal terminal," the manager said.
The Central-Eastern Azeri project is expected to include a residential unit and a platform for production and drilling, to be placed between the Central Azeri and the Eastern Azeri platforms at a depth of approximately 137 meters, three new underwater gas, oil and water lines and the underwater infrastructure connected to them, the integrated underwater energy (spare) and telecommunication cables connecting the East Azeri and Central East Azeri platforms.
A contract for development of ACG block was signed in 1994. A ceremony to sign a new contract on development of the ACG block until 2050 was held in Baku Sept. 14, 2017.
The ACG participating interests are as follows: BP - 30.37 percent; AzACG (SOCAR) - 25 percent; Chevron - 9.57 percent; INPEX - 9.31 percent; Statoil - 7.27 percent; ExxonMobil - 6.79 percent; TP - 5.73 percent; ITOCHU - 3.65 percent; ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) - 2.31 percent.
