Famous Turkish historian calls not to make concessions to Armenia
Turkey should not make concessions to Armenia, the renowned Turkish historian and researcher Mufit Yuksel told on Apr.23.
“Any concession to Armenia, including the Armenian lobby will lead to the fact that the Armenians will take advantage of this and demand more concessions from Turkey,” said Yuksel.

On April 22, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in an interview with Euronews TV channel said that the recognition of the so-called genocide is the shortest way to reconciliation of the peoples of Armenia and Turkey.

It is not excluded that in case of any concession, including the recognition of the so-called genocide, the Armenians will claim to land in Turkey, Yuksel said.

There are hundreds of facts in the history of the Ottoman Empire proving that the Armenians living in Anatolia, formed an alliance with the Russian Empire, according to the scientist.

“Armenian gangs have contributed to the invasion of the Russian army on the territory of Turkey,” said Yuksel.

Having studied the history of the Ottoman Empire, one can find out about the courts against the criminals who killed Armenians during migrations, that is, in fact, the guilty ones were punished, he said.

Mehmed Talaat Pasha (one of the triumvirate known as the Three Pashas that de facto ruled the Ottoman Empire during the First World War) sent a telegram to the Diyarbakir governor in 1915.

The telegram said: “Recently, Armenians who were deported from the city had their throats cut like a sheep at night. We have information that the death toll reaches 2,000 people. We demand to be made aware of the situation there. For present, we do not know who stands behind this - Turks, Kurds, Arabs or Alawites (a religious group)." (Literal translation from Turkish).

Following this telegram, 1,397 death penalties were pronounced in Diyarbakir. It was found that over 600 people, who attacked the Armenians were (attention here please!) ... the Armenian deserters.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey`s predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out ”genocide” against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place. While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
